It is good to know that you can easily overcome fears and phobias with hypnosis, because fears and phobias and fears are the most common type of anxiety disorder. In the UK an estimated 10 million people have a fear or phobia which often starts between the age of four and eight. In this situation, hypnosis works by detaching the stimulus (trigger object) from the emotional response (fear) and ‘updating’ the brain with a new, more realistic response.
